Chancellor Rishi Sunak has announced measures to cut VAT on the installation of energy efficient materials in homes such as heat pumps from 5% to 0%.
As of 1 April 2022, the “60% test” and social conditions needed to qualify will no longer apply.
The zero rating applies to installation of energy saving heating materials only and therefore cannot be applied by sellers of equipment only – it’s a good thing Enula do both.
This is to encourage homeowners and business owners to have energy saving materials such as heat pumps or solar panels installed by competent, registered installers to help increase energy efficiency
